The ART HUSTLE Trading Cards

The Art Hustle is a set of artist and art-based trading cards produced by The
Cardhacks and manufactured in the USA by SideKick Media. The set is very much
a collaborative effort with artists, and exhibits an international group working in
multiple disciplines, including street art, toy art, kaiju, sketch, illustration, painting,
aerosol art, poster art, collage, digital art, sculpture, photography and more.

What makes The Art Hustle so cool is that it gives you a completely new experience
as a collector; the set is a tangible exhibition of talent that you can experience and
learn about. You also have a chance to get an original piece of art! Plus, being
inspired by trading cards produced in the 1960's, 70's & 80's, the set offers up some
vintage-inspired flavor including chipboard card stock and the much-loved wax paper
wrapper.

to the men and women of America 's military.

Acacia Strain - Wormwood CD (Prosthetic)
Fifth album from the metalcore band.

Allegaeon - Fragments Of Form And Function CD (Metal Blade)
“Allegaeon are at times slightly more melodic than the rest of the technical pack,
and at others slightly more brutal and groovy. Combining cutting-edge elements
with the expected death metal staples packs Fragments Of Form And Function
full of the things you crave from a release in this genre, but also full of things to
discover.” -- thenewreview.net

Big Head Todd And The Monsters - Rocksteady CD (Big Head Todd And The Monsters)
The essence of Big Head Todd And The Monsters -- a rootsy, emotionally direct
variety of rock & roll that lends itself particularly well to a live setting -- has been
winning fans since the band started playing together in high school. Rocksteady
is the their eighth studio album.

Black River - Black N Roll CD (Eagle Records)
Sophomore album from the all-star band consisting of Behemoth, Dimmu Borgir,
Rootwater members.

Sebastian Blanck - Alibi Coast CD/LP (Rare Book Room)
A founding member of Black Dice and accomplished painter, Sebastian
Blanck has created a timeless, poeticized folk-pop recording reminiscent of Simon
& Garfunkel. Features contributions by Caroline Polacheck (Chairlift) and Becky
Stark (Lavender Diamond).

The Books - The Way Out CD/2xLP (Temporary Residence)
Over the course of three albums in nearly a decade's time, The Books have grown
to become one of modern music's most genuine innovators. Creatively complex
| and truly unclassifiable, The Way Out continues their tradition of meticulous,
existential songcraft, infusing the playfully surreal elements of previous albums
with a humorous, childlike excitement.

Chimaira - Coming Alive CD+2xDVD (Ferret)
Live CD paired with two DVD's. DVD 1: Coming Alive -- a documentary featuring
the “making of” and world tour for The Infection . DVD 2: Chimaira Christmas --
the entire live concert with 16 songs spanning the band's career.

and mastery of intimate moods.

Department Of Eagles - Archive 2003-2006 CD (American Dust)
Collection of archival material from Fred Nicolaus and Daniel Rossen (Grizzly Bear).
Atmospheric and grandiose symphonic pop. Vinyl version due August 3.

Early Man - Death Potion CD (The End)
When it comes to Early Man, the formula is simple: riffs that detonate on impact,
a rhythm section on fire and vocals that soar to Mt. Olympus .

Ender - This Is Revenge CD (Eulogy)
“Ender is a hardcore band from New Jersey , whom having only formed in May
of 2009, have somehow managed to release one of the most promising and
impressive debut albums I have heard from a band in sometime.”
-- puregrainaudio.com

Endless Boogie - Full House Head CD/2xLP (No Quarter)
Anchored by deep, heady grooves and epic guitar playing, Endless Boogie
delivers seven fully realized studio tracks and one monumental rehearsal jam --
sounding comfortable and focused, not weighed down by any pretension.

Frazey Ford - Obadiah CD (Nettwerk)
Debut album from The Be Good Tanyas' Frazey Ford. Obadiah is a collection
of songs hand-carved by the hardships and exaltations of life, and stained
with the rich colors of soul and folk music that fueled artists like Joni Mitchell,
Ann Peebles, Neil Young, and Donny Hathaway. Vinyl version due August 24.

Francis And The Lights - It'll Be Better CD (Cantora)
"Shimmering, complex nuggets of '80s-excess pop." -- Village Voice

Frontier Ruckus - Deadmalls & Nightfalls CD (Ramseur)
“The twelve songs that make up Deadmalls & Nightfalls tell tales of outcasts,
of society's relics, and people on the fringes. Frontman and primary songwriter
Matthew Milia's voice is perfect for this type of music, sounding both young and
world weary throughout the album.” -- examiner.com

Git Some - Loose Control CD/LP (Alternative Tentacles)
Ex-Planes Mistaken For Stars. RIYL: Akimbo, Jesus Lizard, Drive Like Jehu,
Black Flag.

Jimmy Gnecco - The Heart CD/LP (Bright Antenna)
Debut album from Ours frontman. Though Jimmy plays every instrument on the
album, it's his evocative, soulful voice that takes center stage -- a potent mix of
intimacy, integrity and beautiful melancholy.

The Goodnight Loving - The Goodnight Loving Supper Club CD/LP (Dirtnap)
The Goodnight Loving have become a Milwaukee institution, but unlike Laverne And
Shirley
or Pabst Blue Ribbon, they're still here adding to their legend. The Goodnight
Loving Supper Club
is another milestone in that legend, expanding on their already
classic sound of country and folk-laced rock & roll by forging head-long into
psychedelia, surf, spaghetti western, and anything else exotic enough to send
your neurons into an electrified dance of pop induced pleasure.

Grumbling Fur - Furrier CD (Aurora Borealis)
Gurmbling Fur was borne from a day long on improvisation in deep dark South
London. A smattering of Fins and Englishmen chatter, chant, and chime as rail
lines whistle and hash clouds billow. Swamped cavernous modes unravel into
vistas of blissed kraut mantra and stilted metal drifts. RIYL: Circle, Mothlite,
Guapo.

Paul Hardcastle - Jazzmasters VI CD (Trippin N' Rhythm)
Billboard Magazine's 2008 Smooth Jazz Artist Of The Year, prolific producer/multi-
instrumentalist Paul Hardcastle releases the sixth volume in his popular Jazzmasters series.

High Confessions - Turning Lead Into Gold With High Confessions CD/LP (Relapse)
New group featuring Chris Connelly (Ministry, RevCo.), Steve Shelley (Sonic Youth),
Sanford Parker (Minsk) and Jeremy Lemos (White/Light).

Instruments Of Science & Technology - Music For Paradise Amor: Library
Catalog Music Series CD/LP (Asthmatic Kitty)|
Volume 7 of Asthmatic Kitty's Library Catalog Music Series presents the quirks and
quarks of Richard Swift's Instruments Of Science & Technology alias. Swift eschews
his usual vocals in favor of gorgeously frayed and exquisite analog electronics driven
by clickety beats and bleepy rhythms. To achieve his charming sound he uses old
tape machines and an old Mac in some attempt to reflect our modern tech-centric
lifestyle.

K-X-P - K-X-P CD (Smalltown Supersound)
K-X-P is a drums, bass and synth trio from Helsinki, Finland, born out of the fire
and ashes of the seminal Op:l Bastards and The Lefthanded, both led by Timo
Kaukolampi (best known as Annie's main producer and co-writer who worked with
her on "Don't Stop").

Shawn Lee - Sing A Song CD/LP+MP3 (Ubiquity)
In addition to showcasing a love for ‘60s and '70s soul, Shawn Lee steers his
latest musical mystery tour into psychedelic and cinematic territory over the
course of twelve brand new cuts. Sing A Song is a summertime listen, packed
with catchy motor city licks and space age songs.

Charlie Louvin - Hickory Wind: Live At The Gram Parsons Guitar Pull
Waycross, GA CD (Tompkins Square)
Recorded in September of 2009, Louvin returned to Waycross to pay tribute to
Parsons as well as performing other Louvin Brothers songs Parsons either recorded
or must have heard in his early years.

Lower Dens - Twin-Hand Movement CD/LP (Gnomonsong)
Swarming guitar fuzz, bass waves, insistent drum throbs and Jana Hunter's
redolent, charred voice. Eleven tracks of post-punk drone pop.

Mad Caddies - Consensual Selections CD (Fat Wreck Chords)
Fan-selected favorites collection. Vinyl version due August 3.

Mahjongg - The Long Shadow Of The Paper Tiger CD/LP (K Records)
“The moves you're going to bust to Mahjongg have yet to be created. Music this
frenetic and intense requires a whole new repertoire of dances. The Chicago
collective is always surprising... a sound fusion that demands attention and energy
you didn't know you had.” -- Bust Magazine

M.I.A. - XXXO The Remixes CD (XL)
Featuring Jay Z. Six remixes of the first single from /\/\ /\Y/\.

Kristin Miltner - Music For Dreaming And Playing: Library Catalog Music
Series CD/LP (Asthmatic Kitty)
Miltner is a composer, video installation artist, and sound designer who often
| performs music with customized software which she has designed to scan sound
files while recording live input, allowing her to instantly restructure the sounds into
sequenced arrays of units of varying lengths.

Moondog/Gordon Jenkins/Morton Gould - New York City: Manhattan
Fables CD (Righteous)
Digitally remastered collection featuring a trio of original albums about NYC.
Moondog's super-rare on-street busking classic with all its strange chorale
effects and odd street sounds is a true buried treasure. The original Views
From Manhattan Tower
, recorded in the mid-1950s, sees Gordon Jenkins
paint a surreal vision of love and romance in the Big Apple. Finally, Morton
Gould's strange homage to the non-stop, never sleeping island of Manhattan
captures the mood and the melancholy of this infamous strip.

Morbid Carnage - Night Assassins CD (Pulverized)
New album from the Hungarian thrash outfit.

Mose Giganticus - Gift Horse CD (Relapse)
Driving, power riffs and low-end heaviness with expansive electronics, synth
elements, and spirited attitude.

Mountain Man - Made The Harbor CD/LP (Partisan)
Made The Harbor , the trio's debut, could embody any number of musical
ideals -- warm Southern folk, pensive New England odes or soft Celtic hymns
-- surprisingly expansive imagery for such a spare ensemble. Just three voices
gliding in and out of each other over an acoustic guitar, this is as minimalist
as the recent-years folk revival has gotten.” -- aquariumdrunkard.com

Nadja/OvO - Life & Death Of A Was CD (Broken Spine)
Collaboration between Canadian experimental/drone/doom/ambient band Nadja
and sludge Italian two-piece OvO.

Nadja/Troum - Dominium Visurgis CD (Transgredient)
Improvised collaboration between German post-industrial/experimental drone
pioneers Troum and Nadja.

Oriol - Night & Day CD/LP (Planet Mu)
From drum 'n' bass and dubstep to the '70s fusion and experimentation
of Herbie Hancock and Stevie Wonder to the lush house of Theo Parrish,
Larry Hearrd and Recloose, Night & Day incorporates a wide variety of
influences into a singular style that's exuberant and fresh.

Piebald - Volume III 2xCD (Rise)
Features the album We Are The Only Friends We Have plus two B-sides
from that studio session, unheard demos, and live songs.

Portland Cello Project - Thousand Words CD (CD Baby)
PCP's first all-instrumental album features collaborations with Rachel
Blumberg (Decemberists, M Ward, Bright Eyes), and NYC beatboxer
Adam Matta, as well as music from numerous contrasting genres.

Max Richter - Infra CD (Fat Cat)
With majestic, involved textures and fluent, sweeping melodies, Infra is an
enigmatic and inherently intellectual understanding of harmonic complexities
that compels and mesmerizes.

Rick Ross - Teflon Don CD (IDJ/Slip N Slide)
New album featuring Jay-Z, Kanye West, Chrisette Michele, and Raphael
Saadiq.

Dan Sartain - Lives CD (One Little Indian)
New album from Alabama's Magic City-based lo-fi rockabilly troubadour. “Dan
Sartain, born of fire and baptized in the tears of Johnny Cash, is the voice and
soul of this generation's rock & roll youth.” -- NME

Secret Cities - Pink Graffiti CD/LP (Western Vinyl)
By drawing on fractured psych, girl groups and minimalist composers, Secret
Cities has conjured a kaleidoscopic, strangely moving whole out of disparate
pieces. Distorted loops, drones, and thundering toms underpin distant voices.
Pianos are pounded. Grainy acoustic guitars come through like AM
transmissions received deep underground.

Brian Setzer Orchestra - Don't Mess With A Big Band: Live! 2xCD (Surfdog)
Double-disc live set recorded on his 2009 Japanese tour.

Doug Snyder & Bob Thompson - Daily Dance CD (Lion Productions)
Fiery improvisations, seemingly influenced as much by Iggy Pop's proto-punk
moves as John Coltrane's whole "sheets of sound" ethos; the result is a
mythical frenzy of distorted guitar and improvised drums, creating walls
of psychedelic noise.

Stereo Skyline - Stuck On Repeat CD (Columbia)
Debut album from the four-piece power pop band based out of Long Island, NY.

Shannon Stevens - Shannon Stevens [Reissue] CD (Asthmatic Kitty)
Repress of Stevens' 2000 debut. Includes new artwork plus two previously
unreleased bonus tracks.

Soundtrack - Eat Pray Love OST CD (Monkeywrench)
Music from the forthcoming motion picture featuring Neil Young, Marvin Gaye
and the new single "Better Days" by Eddie Vedder.

Terror Danjah - Power Grid CD/LP (Planet Mu)
Punchy eight-track double-EP of experimental grime.

That Petrol Emotion - Babble [Reissue] CD (Cherry Red)
Digitally remastered and expanded edition of this 1987 album from the Irish
alt-rock band adds a wealth of bonus tracks drawn from various B-sides
and rarities.

These United States - What Lasts CD (United Interest)
Written during the summer of 2009 after surviving a near drowning, songwriter
Jesse Elliott's themes take a decidedly darker turn from last year's Everything
Touches Everything
.

Kenseth Thibideau - Repetition CD (Temporary Residence)
Debut solo album from member of Pinback, Three Mile Pilot, and Tarentel.
Inspired by an increasing obsession with the Can/Cluster/Harmonia/Tangerine
Dream world of classic krautrock and European prog, Repetition fittingly
centers around a series of circular melodies anchored by repetitive grooves
and colored by swirling keyboards and understated vocals.

The Triffids - Wide Open Road: The Best Of The Triffids CD (Domino)
18-track hits collection from the legendary Australian post punk band.

Various Artists - World Ends: Afro Rock & Psychedelia In 1970s Nigeria
2xCD/3xLP (Soundway)
Compilation of guitar-driven psychedelic music from Nigeria circa the early
1970s. 32 tracks of funk-laden grooves inspired by Jimi Hendrix, James
Brown and more. Vinyl edition features bonus tracks not available on the CD.

Wire - Send Ultimate 2xCD (Pink Flag)
Send Ultimate is an archaeology of Wire in the studio between 2000 and 2003 --
a period during which the band worked on new music for the first time in a decade.

Woom - Muu's Way CD/LP (Ba Da Bing!)
A wholly unique reinvention of pop likened to the quiet radicalism of Young
Marble Giants, the devastating simplicity of early Velvet Underground, and the
turbulent joy of contemporaries like Animal Collective, Tune-Yards and
Micachu And The Shapes.

Zero 7 - Record CD (Atlantic/WEA)
Retrospective featuring tracks and remixes from Zero 7's previous four albums
and a track from their very first EP that was originally released on limited vinyl.

DVDs:

Rick Alverson - Builder DVD (Jagjaguwar)
Debut film from Spokane frontman. Features music by Bon Iver, Gregor Samsa,
Pan American, Spokane, and Rovert Donne. A subtle, contemplative rendering
reminiscent of the films of John Cassavetes and The Dardenne Brothers.

released in 1970.

Michael Hurley - First Songs LP (Folkways)
One of the most beloved cult figures of the Greenwich Village folk scene.
Recorded in 1964 when he was only 22, First Songs proves that his charming,
bumming, hippie, wino persona was fully formed at an early age.

Indian Jewelry - Totaled LP (We Are Free)
Recently released on CD -- now available on vinyl. Totaled comprises the swamp
electro of 2003's We Are The Wild Beast , the nightmare throb of 2005's Invasive

New Japandroids track backed with an X cover.

Jeff The Brotherhood - Mellow Out b/w Heavy Days 7”+MP3 (Suicide Squeeze)
Two sweet and ripping tracks, highlighted with laser-light solos and melodic
guitar hooks that phase through space.

The Knights Of The New Crusade - Knight Vision LP (Alternative Tentacles)
The Christian rock scene is replete with slick, careerist bands whose lyrics
gingerly tread on the ecumenical outskirts of religious allusions in an attempt to
alienate as few mainstream rock consumers as possible. It's no wonder that
The Knights Of The New Crusade, with their resolute unconcern for compromise,
became a flashpoint for contention in both the Christian and secular rock music
worlds.

Majeure - Timespan Remixes LP (Temporary Residence)
Features remixes from Steve Moore (Zombi), Justin K Broadrick (Godflesh/Jesu)
and Black Strobe.

Night Beats - H-Bomb 7”+MP3 (Trouble In Mind)
This four-song EP will melt your brain with its mixture of druggy backbeats and
blazing guitar work peppered with vocals that channel a screeching, howling
Mark Bolan.

Oriol - Coconut Coast 12” (Planet Mu)
12” vinyl pressing of single lifted from Barcelona-born, Britain-based producer
Oriol Singhji's debut album Night & Day .

Rachels - Selenography [Reissue] 2xLP+MP3 (Touch & Go)
Vinyl reissue of Rachel's fourth album. Recorded between 1997 and 1999,
Selenography
is a collection of songs that have been staples of the band's
live shows.

Radio Birdman - Radios Appear [Reissue] LP (4 Men With Beards)
Originally released in 1977, Radios Appear is the debut album from one of
most important Australian bands of all time. Though they are often lumped in
with the punk-rock sound of their contemporaries in London and New York,
they actually owe more to the earlier sounds of Detroit, specifically The
Stooges and the MC5.

School Of Seven Bells - Disconnect From Desire 2xLP (Vagrant)
Recently released on CD -- now available on vinyl.

Shellac - Terraform [Reissue] LP+MP3 (Touch & Go)
Vinyl reissue of Shellac's now-classic 1998 album.

Sleigh Bells - Treats LP (Mom+Pop)
Recently released on CD -- now available on picture disc vinyl.

Sterling Roswell - Psychedelic Ubik LP (Vinyl Lovers)
Vinyl edition of the critically acclaimed debut solo album -- originally
released in 2004 -- by the enigmatic drummer of Spacemen 3. Psychedelic
Ubik
fuses atmospheric space pop with an acid-laced romp through the
annals of rock & roll.

Michael Rother - Flammende Herzen LP (4 Men With Beards)
Rother is half of the influential Krautrock group Neu! and a founding member
of Kraftwerk.

Saint Vitus - Live [Reissue] LP (Southern Lord)
Reissue of this essential album from the premiere American doom metal
act of the '80s.

Spur - Of The Moments LP (Drag City)
Spur represent full-tilt West Coast-style psychedelia, pouring on the fuzz with a
laidback tunefulness that certainly gives outfits like Quicksilver Messenger
Service, Relatively Clean Rivers and The Grateful Dead some competition.

Sticks N Stones - Is It You? b/w Telling The Truth 7”+MP3 (Trouble In Mind)
Two slabs of sharp pop perfection. Lean and mean, slicing off riffs from ‘70s and
‘80s power pop with rapid-fire intensity that calls to mind early Cheap Trick.

Johnny Thunders - Que Sera, Sera LP (Vinyl Lovers)
In 1985, after several years of drifting from live shos to after-hours parties, punk's
Moses was shaken (briefly) out of his drug-induced stupor to cut a studio album.

Toro Y Moi - Leave Everywhere 7” (Carpark)
Those thinking Toro Y Moi's sound is all about his debut full length Causers Of
This
might be in for a bit of a surprise. You'll find no electronic sounds or beats
here. These songs have a classic early rock & roll feel to them with only electric
guitar, bass, drums, and xylophone as the instrumentation.

Various Artists - Saigon Rock & Soul: Vietnamese Classic Tracks 1968-1974
2xLP (Sublime Frequencies)
Stunning heavy rock, funk, soul, and pop classics from the Vietnam War-era.

Yob - The Great Cessation 2xLP (Southern Lord)
Deluxe vinyl version of the 2009 album from the reunited doom metal band.

Michael Yonkers - Goodbye Sunball [Reissue] LP (Secret Seven)
Vinyl reissue of the lost psych-folk LP by cult favorite Michael Yonkers. Privately
released in 1974, Goodby Sunball was recorded at Yonkers' home studio a few
years after Microminiature Love .

Matthew Young - Traveler's Advisory LP (Drag City)
Mixing a hammered dulcimer and a drum machine makes no logical sense. Taking
your lyrics from instruction manuals is not a good idea. Covering Michael Hurley in
1986 is about as out of step with the times as you can get. Somehow this 25 year-old,
12th-century, folk-electronic album feels perfectly up to date and cooler than anything
else you'll hear this year.

Richard Youngs - Beyond the Valley Of The Ultrahits LP (Jagjaguwar)
Among bright, hypnotic loops, Youngs' voice finds its inner Bowie. But let it be known:
this collection of house-inspired gems displays much more than a capacity for pop
emulation. It's a confirmation of Youngs' craft and prowess, no matter what terrain.

Richard Youngs/Simon Wickham-Smith - 20 Years LP+3xCD (VHF)
Massive LP+3xCD set features the pair's first new LP in almost 15 years, plus three
unreleased works recorded in the '90s.
